The new life
Ah, the first entry! I'm already wondering how long i can keep this journaling up. Oh well - nevermind, we'll see how things will go. I wrote 13 may 1999
Almost 9 years after the first ever entry on . . . g a f f - even before it was called gaff - i'm still going strong. Obvisously that's not quite true. . . . g a f f has been an on-off project - mostly off as a matter of fact, due to a number of reasons - ever since the first entry, but i'm back!
2008 is a year of changes. Nina graduates and starts working, we move to wherever she finds a job and i need to figure out what i'll be doing. Big changes indeed, the start of a new life.
On another level - perhaps even more important - we're commiting ourselves to a change in lifestyle too. Simpler, maybe even frugal; focussed on the future, but keeping the present interesting and challenging; finding a balance between now and then.
It's hard to describe exactly what i'm talking about as it's not all that clear for us either; it's a whole gamma of issues ranging from making up a complete financial plan to simple housekeeping routines and most likely ongoing for a number of years.
We'll see what comes along and we'll address every issue one-by-one. Eitherway, us moving to wherever Nina finds a job is a good moment to start a new lifestyle.
I'll be using . . . g a f f to both keep track of the new life and keep the world informed.
