The 101 in 1001 project: March/April 2008 update
I've noticed the 101-in-1001 project is something lingering in the back of my head, and ever so often i do a thingy or two, but don't bother to update the item on this website. So to remedy that and at least for myself see more progress, from now i'll do an end of the month update.
As i've done a sort of overview/update end of february, this update covers march and april.
#4: Finish gaff
8 march 2008: Noticed and fixed a bug in the comment-time display.
23 march 2008: Added a select for the 101 list (admin).
20 april 2008: Added prev/next navigator. Other minor updates both front- & backend.
#14: Rebuild Yü-Gung
I've build a new news reader (RSS reader) as a test for something else, but it is very useable for yü-gung too; the current newsreader is, well, archaic and crappy.
I've also done a bit of thinking about this website and actually am fairly content with the current functions. What is needed is simply updating these functions so they are much easier to use.
Status changed to 'in progress'.
#19: Clean up offices
Mine is done! Status changed to 'in progress'.
#24: General declutter
In progress: We've sold a few things, kicked out a few other things.
#28: Learn about financial stuff
Learned quite a lot about how things work in the Netherlands, through some dutch money magazines.
#31: Play more (board)games
We've played a numbers of board games: Tikal, Carcassonne & Carcassonne: Hunters & Gatherers and Starship Catan.
#32: Read all unread books
Still not finished Catch-22 as i've not felt like reading for quite a while and now am caught up in a bunch of pulp-fiction: Nick Carter.
#44: Send CF cards to parents regularly
26 march 2008: First CF is ready with some holidays pictures.
#45: Answer e-mail within 14 days
Since my new email approach i'm dealing with email pretty quickly. I'm not there yet though, as i still need to 'learn' to look in my 'follow up' folder more often. Nonetheless, there is progress!
#48: Make appointment with advisor
19 march 2008: Had appointment with my accountant. Task will be finished when i've written about this meeting.
#50: Establish an administration routine
Looking good, I've reestablished my monday-administration-routine and so far stick to it as i used to.
#51: Create financial overview
20080430: Two months using the YMOYL system now, but it is not a complete financial overview yet.
#60: Try new recipes
This item used to be 'Try new stew/pie/mash recipes', but as i have tried 5 or 6 new recipes the last couple of weeks, and none of 'em being a stew/pie/mash, i've decided to change this item into 'Try new recipes'.
#61: Start exercising again
March: done nothing, april: started again.
#63: Eat healthier
We are eating more fruits and more veggies.
#66: Get involved with KIVA
We financed two projects ($25 each) so far and figured out how and why to deal with this in the future. I do need to write a bit more text with the item itself though.
#68: Find more geocaches
Found three more caches in april. In progress and on schedule.
#70: Write two entries per week
I'm trying but so far failing...
Making this overview, i'm wondering why i haven't managed two entries per week yet. There is so much i could have written about.
#82: Learn to Get Things Done
Yes, not as good as i want to, but my new email habits seem to work more or less. I'm also using outlook today as a task/calendar thing and I do manage to both list what i want/need to do, keep track of it and actually do things.
We're not there yet. Not at all, but still, i guess there is a little progress.
#96: xxxx xxxxxxx xxx xxxx
in progress and looking good

Thank you Krishna sir,We really appreciate for your kind information regarding our beloved village. It has been always fantastic to hear news about our village in such a way, especially, in development sector. I am very much proud of you that you have been serving for our village for such a long prior of time. When I saw your face it remind me of my school age and all those stupid things that i used to do at that time. It just feels like yesterday, I feel young again like a boy. I do hope you also feel the same as me, don’t you sir? I have no doubt you have a huge connection with the school and village both emotionally and physically. I know you love the place same as any other villagers. Only one thing is different with compare to other is that you have been contributing with your highly respected qualification, dedication and honestly almost whole of your life.My heartfelt thanks to you for your hard work and showing such an enthusiasm towards our village and as well as school. We are very lucky to have such a generous teacher and proud of you.Your sincerelyEx student Arjun badmas danda ghar.PS it would be better if you could publish your e mail add so we can contact you personally in future.
