Einstürzende Neubauten
'Finished' half of #36: See Neubauten and The Ex live.
20/05 Einstürzende Neubauten played in amsterdam again.
They played mostly songs from their latest album Alles Wieder Offen and as i've not listen to it a lot (shame on me, we have it already since october last year!), it was an evening with quite some nice suprises and a few moments of recognition and sing-a-long. I thought it was all a bit laid back, subdued perhaps, due to the nature of the songs they played. Not bad at all, just that for me a couple more of the older uptempo energetic songs would have added to the show.
Not their best show i've seen, but still a very good gig and great to be there and see them play live again.
The supporting act, White, was not bad at all either. Interesting experimentation in sound, just when you started to get into a beat, the tempo and direction changed (again). Nice.
All in all, we did have a good evening and yes, we should do this sort of things more often.
On a side note, being quite busy with personal finance, the evening was kind of a disaster:
Tickets 2x€25 plus 2x€4,15 service costs plus 2x€3 venue membership plus €2,30 for a 0,2 liter bottle of water (yes, we didn't drink much, not because of the prices, simple because we 'forgot') plus €20 for the live CD of that evening plus another €20 for parking plus an estimated €8 gasoline is €114,60...Was it worth it? Absolutely!

Talking about personal finance, don't get me started on the 59 Euro per ticket for Leonard Cohen I bought just afterwards *rolleyes*
